But the vast majority of actors spend most of their lives seeking work, either literally, emotionally or both. And although you would like your day to be filled by exploring your craft, its more likely to be taken up by a battle that no one ever teaches you about in drama school, the battle of survival. Because whether you're starting a theatre company in the south of France, pursuing stardom in Hollywood, or running a large corporation, you simply cannot survive without cashflow.
Now in order to make that money, most actors look to the world outside of performance in the time and energy consuming restaurant or telemarketing business. But just because Bruce Willis was a bartender in New York before he got his big break, it doesn't mean you have to be.
