Andrew Carlton

If you don't know who Andrew Carlton is, turn on commercial TV in Australia and wait a few minutes. Chances are you just heard his voice, most likely more than once. Andrew is the most sought after voice for big brand advertising in Australian television. He celebrates his 21st year in the entertainment industry performing in theatre, film and TV in Australia and the US. Throughout the past decade Andrew has dominated the voiceover industry in Australia and is currently the voice behind brands such as, The Commonwealth Bank, 3 Mobile, HCF, McDonalds, Lotto (Qld and Vic), as well The Lifestyle Channel and Movie Network's FMC. He was also noted for being the voice behind the state and federal governments anti-smoking ad campaigns.

Back in 1995 he received an acting scholarship in New York. He performed Off-Broadway, co-founded The Working Group Theater Company and later wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film Tripwire. During his last year in New York, Andrew became the presenter and host of the extreme sports show X-Style, for the ESPN sports network.

In 2000 Andrew brought back with him from New York what he titled The Biz Of Showbiz - treating your acting career more like a business. After launching the company Outta The Box he developed the training to empower actors to make money as performers. The seminars, downloadable courses (available on thebizofshowbiz.com) and private coaching provide the artistic and technical skills, as well as the required business training to launch your career. Putting his success where his mouth is, Andrew has used these principles to become one of the leading voice artists in the country.

Andrew is also called upon by multi-national advertising agencies and TV networks to direct and consult on voiceovers. He teaches voiceovers at NIDA and tours the country with weekend intensive seminars in voiceover performance. Many graduates have attained regular work and representation with the country's top agents after completing this training. In fact there are former students with all the top voice agents in the country as a direct result from this mentorship.

Carlton says The television and advertising industries are on the hunt for a new generation of faces and voices to represent both the advertisers and the consumers. On top of that, advertising on the Internet is expected to increase by 54% in 2010 compared to 4% in TV. This shift has left the market hungry for new talent and the opportunity to build your own career on the Internet by initiating your own projects like creating shows or voicing sites on the web.

Ric Herbert

If you tune in to much TV and radio, you probably know Ric's voice better than your own family's. Ric has been one of Australia's leading voiceover artists for over 20 years. When he's not saying it he's singing it- he is responsible for half of those jingles you can't get out of your head. He doesn't shy away from the big stage either, performing in front of millions- singing the 2000 Olympic Bid Anthem at the Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony. His acting credits are too long to list but holds dearest to his heart his roles as Jack Black's nemesis film producer in Peter Jackson's King Kong and most recently in the acclaimed Australian TV series "Underbelly."
Ric's command of the voice is remarkable. His teaching technique is unique and gets extraordinary results, as his students will attest to.
