FAQ - Nice Voice?

I've been told I have a really nice voice. Does this mean I can get into Voiceovers?

Strange as it may seem, in the modern era, sporting a dulcet tone may not be advantageous. The voice industry has changed dramatically in recent years and the growing demand is for voice that sounds like… well… regular people. Of course there are particular voices that simply aren't "easy on the ear." But these days your main commitment as a voiceover artist is to be eloquent, honest and expressive. In other words, having an amazing, deep, rich voice won't help if it's not backed with personality. More importantly, where once a voiceover career was restricted to deep resonant voices, now anyone with good communication skills can get into voiceovers.
