FAQ - Quit Waiting Tables
I'm an actor looking for work. I hate waiting tables. Is it realistic to think that I could quit my restaurant job ASAP and replace it with voiceover income.
The prospect of starting a career as a voice artist sounds exciting, especially for actors and musicians who are looking to make some good money using their performance skills without eating up their creative time. However the process usually takes some time. Although some of our students have begun working regularly within only a couple of months of their first step, on average, most take 6 months to a year to start working. Working regularly and generating reliable monthly income could take longer still. A year or even two. But if voiceovers are part of a total plan, you'll find that the time goes by quickly and you'll find yourself making real headway. Of course the sooner you get started the sooner you will succeed.
