FAQ - What Skills?

What skills should I have first before I explore the voiceover option?

Aside from obvious requirements like no speech impediments, vocal disabilities or illnesses, two skill-types, which are HIGHLY advantageous, are acting and music. The current styles of voiceovers require you to be authentic yet eccentric. Actors tend to handle this better. And, as most of the direction you receive in the studio is musically based (rhythm, pitch, tone etc), an understanding of music (particularly singing) is also beneficial. If you don't have training and experience in these areas, we advise that you seek it alongside pursuing voiceovers.
